Job Description
The Senior Project Management Engineer is responsible for leading and coordinating the design management, BIM management, and shop drawing processes across multidisciplinary engineering projects. The role ensures that all design deliverables meet project objectives, client requirements, and quality standards, while maintaining effective communication among design teams, consultants, and contractors.
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and monitor engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and budget, timelines, and resources.
- Coordinate between clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Developing comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Manage budgets and control costs.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Prepare and submit progress reports and documentation.
- Identify and resolve technical or coordination issues.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to clarify project requirements and ensure all stakeholders are aligned.
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports, and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identifying potential risks and roadblocks, analyzing their impact, and implementing effective solutions. Overseeing the change management process to address scope changes.
- Tracking project progress, expenditures, and timelines, providing regular updates and reports to stakeholders.
- Leading and motivating project teams, coordinating with different engineering disciplines, and overseeing the work of contractors and suppliers.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering (Architecture/Civil/Construction Management)
- 7-8 years of experience in project management, preferably in an engineering consultancy or construction management firm.
- Strong command of project planning tools (Primavera, MS Project, BIM Management ) and project documentation practices.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
